Start of April

Hi, today is first of April. Happy April Fool's Day if anyone still get tricked today. As usual, every year, since 18 years ago, maybe i should say about 10years ago since everyone started this kind of joke when they are about 8 or 9 years of age, I will come across this kind of joke every year whether it is during school time or sms. I'm so used to it that I thought if there are people who would have a better jokes like they are pregnant or something like that? Haha... Ok, that is just for entertainment. Don't do that to the weak-hearted people.

I went for a family carnival today at a MINDS school. It is a school f0r the intellectually-disabled children or children with learning difficulty from age5-18. For some reasons, I was happened to be there. A rather old school with not much technology & renovation works done. However, there are still principal, teachers, staffs & students who are still able to get together and really eager to learn from one another despite the student's learning difficulty. From observing their behaviour, I realise some lessons that I can learn from them. During the carnival, the students & their families get to play games together; watching shows; have their lunch; & enjoy themselves as a family. When one sees the type of games they played, one may think that it is easy & lame. But to some of the students there, it might posed as a challenging game. However, they still get some prizes although they didn't manage to win the game. The prizes were served as a means of encouragement and they were delighted when they have the mini prize on their hands. I saw some of my schoolmates from interact club, who came & helped out with the carnival as well. At that point in time, I was thinking that I should have join this CCA so I will realise this early. That bringing joy & hopes to this students, I will feel the joy more in my heart than them. Childish & innocent as they are, they feel more contented & more happy than in our life although they didn't seem to realise what lies ahead of their future. Lesson learnt? Read below.
