Common test approaching
Common test is starting next week & there are a lot of homeworks & projects that are left untouched. Will I be able to finish them on time? Struggling with time & laziness.
I have just finish watching 'Sangdoo, let's go to school' Korean drama. It is a sad & nice show. But I think it's worth watching it. It somehow reflects the days during our school times & high school romance that could last for more than ten years. I love Dr Kang's role the most.
I might not blog that often now cause common test coming up. All the best for me!

Last week of 18 years old
One year flies so fast that I thought I had just celebrated my 18th birthday yesterday. I had my good & bad times throughout my life being a 18 years old young adult & they had become part of my memories. My birthday falls on every year, 15th may, & this year, it was so coincidently that my lunar birthday falls on the same day this year which was hard to come by. I also had my fun since one week before my big day.
Last tuesday, I went out with my group of (Effective People Management module) EPM projectmates to marina square. The group consists of Yi Lin, Jing Ying, Derrick, Royston, Joanna & me. We wanted to watch movie but in the end, we went to play bowling & arcade instead. It was fun & interesting that we are able to mix around so well when we just knew one another for 3weeks (except Yi Lin & I). We will get together & go out again when we are done with our projects. Haha..
On 10th may, I went out to watch movie with Cheryl after school at 5pm at Cineleisure. We caught the movie 'The Art of Seduction' and it is a good show if you want to have a good laugh. I felt so fortunate to have a friend who is so on to accompany me when I wanted to watch any movies that she might not be keen on.
I met up with Cheryl right after the next day again together with Sharon. They went to my house to celebrate my birthday & they bought a chocolate mousse cake for me. It was so sweet.
Vesak day was on the 12th may so it was a public holiday. Charmaine is so thoughtful that she had secretly organised an outing within our classmates to celebrate my birthday & also as a form of gathering for our class. Haha.. But somehow, the 'secret' just have loopholes & I somehow get the idea before we met up that day. Charmaine, Yi Lin, Marcus, Lu Xing, Yee Hwee, Zhi Hong, Tung & Elson were there to join in the celebration. Although there were only 8 people, but I was so elated that they were willing to make time out & effort to be there when they were being told about the information at the last minute. We went to marina bay to have steamboat buffet & we went for bowling session after our heavy dinner. Thomas & Ming Hao couldn't make it on time but it's ok. At least both of them did called & I appreciated it. I hope that they did enjoyed themselves from my treat for bowling.
Saturday, 13th may, was also a fun-filled time for me with my darling babes, Yan, Jia, Ling & Ping. We finally get to confirm where to go on that day itself. After a few rounds of cracking brain of where the activites we can go within Singapore, we decided to play board game. Settlers' Cafe at north canal was fully booked on that day & we were so anxious when we heard the news. However, we were lucky that Ling's friend know of another cafe named the Mind Cafe at Prinsep street & we headed there.

Oh.. Taboo! Ling hit me cause she thought I said the wrond word but I'm not.

Haha.. Taboo her! Punishment for saying the wrong word & she did!

Ping likes to be the camera-man. Opps! I mean camera-woman.
Later on, we went over to Geylang to have our improper dinner of soya bean drink, you tiao, toasted bread & lastly durian! Durian was our main motive for going there as we just missed the durian season so much. In Ping's blog, she talked about durian being one of the reasons that brought us closer but to me, I think it was just a small minor reason. We had fun & enjoy one another company & our memories of the times we had are the main reasons that brought us closer.

Half-way to completion!
14 may is the 2nd sunday of may & it happened to be mother's day as well. I stayed at home most of the time & went out with my family later for a simple dinner & to realise that my weight is gaining for the good food I have enjoyed over the week.
Today, I met up with Jeff dear at hougang for a simple meal after school. I was glad that he is able to meet me although he end his school late. Happy 19th Birthday to me!
Lots of thanks to:
Royston for treating the EPM projectmates for the bowling session.
Cheryl & Sharon for the birthday celebration & the cake.
Charmaine for organising the class gathering & the guess bag present.
Yi Lin & Marcus for the Anna Sui Dolly Girl present.
Lu Xing for the earrings present.
Adeline, Elson, Yee Hwee, Tung & Thomas for the earrings & the adidas jacket as presents.
Ling, Jia, Ping & Yan for making time out to celebrate my birthday, the board game & durian treat & the Anna Sui Dolly Girl present. I still like it although I have two bottles now.

An opportunity that has been wasted
The chance to go for the homestay in Japan has finally arrived. I'm so excited about it when I heard the news from Yoko Hirata, my Japanese lecturer that NP is organising the Japan trip for the advance A students. I scanned the piece of information on the A4 size paper to briefly look through the details. First thing I saw was the venue; at Osaka. Next, it was the price of $2000-$2300 and it said that it covers all the necessary fees like transport & the 3-meals cost. It was so attractive. Third onwards, it said that it was during the period of time when I have to miss one week of attachment over the two weeks stay at Osaka. Lastly, it was all about the criterias in order to be selected for the trip. Only a maximum of 6 students will allowed to go. So it was a privilege to be able to go.
A lot of the students in my class worried about the cost but as for me; the time frame and my dad's permission. It's not that I'm clever or I'm rich to afford it, but how I fared for my Japanese and money are secondary to me because to be able to go is the top priority. My dad didn't allow me to go for some various reasons which I do not know cause he didn't want to speak up. ARGH!
So I wanted to save up my money next time when I started working and make sure that my first distant overseas trip without parents will be Japan! Awaiting for that day to come...

Courtesy!
Second week of school does make a different compared with first week of school. Homeworks are piling up & projects were assigned for us to do. I have to find more time for my studies already.
Today after school, when I was on my way home on the bus, I met this middle-aged woman with her daughter of about 8-9years old. They were facing & sitting opposite of each other. This little girl, while chatting with her mum half-way, threw a piece of bus ticket on the bus. She was smiling at her mum & showing her facial expression to her mum that she dared to throw rubbish on the bus. What a bad attitude & habit the daughter has! However, the worse part was when she asked her mum to pick it up & her mum just signalled her forget about it. From this situation, you can see that the kid was obviously not brought up in a proper way when her mum was lacking of courtesy. What a disappointment.
Ling finally send me some of the pics we took the last time at kbox. Here is one of the pics.

I'm so looking forward for this weekend to come so I can have a good rest. That's all for today, peeps!
